There are several football rivalries in Chile, apart from the Superclásico.

Clásico Universitario (The Collegiate Derby)

This match, which represents the oldest derby in Chile, is between the football teams of Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica, that represent two of the most important universities and football teams in the country. Originally University clubs, they turned professional in the 1930s and kept their amateur names. In continental competitions Universidad Católica is better known because they have qualified to international competitions more often, reached the final of the Copa Libertadores in 1993, and won the Interamerican Cup in 1994.

The first time that the match was played professionally was in 1937, but before, Universidad Católica had defeated Universidad de Chile more often as amateur sides. The biggest goal difference in a match was Universidad Católica 5:0 Universidad de Chile, but Universidad de Chile has won it in more occasions. The last time the match was played was in November first, 2009 in the Estadio Monumental David Arellano, and Universidad Católica won it 3:2.

Clásico of Colo-Colo and Universidad Católica (The Chilean 3º Derby)

It is played between Colo-Colo and Universidad Católica, the people with more difficulties, and the context is similar to the Clasico of Albos and Cruzados. Colo-Colo has won it in more occasions.

Clásico Porteño (The Seaport Derby)

It is played between Santiago Wanderers and Everton, and is very significant for the people of the zone, because Santiago Wanderers is from Valparaíso, and old and poor city, and Everton is from Viña del Mar, a rich and glamorous city that is few kilometres at the north of Valparaíso. This year was not good for both teams, because Santiago Wanderers was relegated of Primera Division, and Everton spent a lot before the season in a good team, but at the end they could have been relegated, so the derby was important for them. In the Torneo Apertura, the teams got a draw in the Santiago Wanderers stadium of 1-1. In the Torneo Clausura, at Everton's stadium, Santiago Wanderers won 1-2, with a goal for them in the last minute after their goalkeeper saved a penalty kick.

IV Región derby

It is played by the "papayeros" (papayers), La Serena, the rich people, and the "piratas" (pirates), Coquimbo Unido, the people with more difficulties, and the context is similar to the Clásico del Puerto. This year, Coquimbo Unido was relegated.

Clásicos de Colonia (Colonies' derbies)

The three teams that represent foreign colonies in Chile, Unión Española, Audax Italiano, and Palestino play this derbies.

VII Región derby

Is played by Rangers, from Talca, and Curicó Unido, being this considered of high risk by the authorities, because of the rivalry of "Los Marginales" and "Los Rojinegros", fans of Curicó Unido and Rangers respectively.
